Am I Ms. Marvel?

Frequent readers will no doubt remember friend of the blog and my friendly neighborhood comic book expert, Nightwing17. In addition to his blog, which you should totally follow, he writes for Weekly Comic Book Review and covered the recent (and mildly controversial) Ms. Marvel for them. He followed up his regular review of the issue with his personal thoughts on an American superhero of South Asian descent. It’s well-worth the read, so go check it out.

When I heard that there was going to be a new Muslim Ms. Marvel, I raced to my e-mail and requested it on WCBR. To be honest, I’m not completely sure why. You can find my review of the series here, but, if you’ll forgive some navel gazing, I wanted to take a moment to put down some more personal thoughts.
