CONsent Goes Pro

Given the popularity of my last post about consent and sexual harassment issues at cons, I am extremely happy to share this bit of excellent CONsent news from The Mary Sue. Sci-Fi author and former President of Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America John Scalzi has taken a stance on issue, refusing to attend any con that does not have clear harassment policies that are both known and actually acted upon/followed through with. If enough people like Scalzi with weight to throw around start following suit, we could see some actual change. I applaud him and all others working to make conventions a safer and more inviting place to share our passions.
