Brave New World

Greetings, wayward internet travelers, procrastinators, bibliophiles, blogseekers, and wordpress junkies. I have been toying with the idea of creating a blog on banned books for quite some time. However, the recent death of Ray Bradbury (On my birthday no less. That was just cruel, Mr. Bradbury.) has spurred me to finally make this a reality.

On this blog I will be looking at banned books, be they fiction, nonfiction, children’s books, memoirs, novels, or a somehow scandalous cookbook. Whatever. If a person, school, government, library, or organization has felt strongly enough to ban a book then who am I not to discuss it? I will not only be reviewing the books but exploring why someone would feel the need to ban it in the first place.

Anyway, I raise a glass of dandelion wine to you, dear reader. Cheers.

I thank you kindly. I’ve been meaning to do this forever, but there always seemed to be something else demanding my attention. If you have any books you’d particularly like to see discussed, feel free to share.

I look forward to your first “banned” book!
